Great evening practices to relax and unwind however it’s good to note that due to slower pace of these classes, particularly restorative, these can be mentally challenging classes for those new to the practices.

Yin Yoga

Yin / Sunset Yin

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced practice that will support your body to release tension built up through more dynamic paced yoga classes, gym workouts, or a busy life. Yin strengthens the muscle of the mind as you will be expertly guided to find your healthy point of resistance within each asana (yoga posture) and to find a place of stillness and peace both physically and mentally.

Yin yoga is focused on applying moderate stress to the connective tissues, tendons, fascia, and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.  Most poses are mat based and tend to be held for longer periods of time. This meditative approach to yoga helps cultivate awareness of one’s inner stillness.

Class Intensity Level 2: Mild – Mild intensity with gentle, slow-paced movement.

The pace is steady and peaceful creating a state of calm in body and mind. We hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose rather than moving to each breath.

Strong Slow Flow gives you space to explore each movement and moment and have time to adjust your body within the asana (yoga posture), and to breathe in a way that encourages a steady pace and energises the body and mind.

There is a particular focus on muscle groups to harmonise your overall wellbeing, specifically targeting core and glute strength. By nourishing these areas of the body, the limitations in your yoga practice begin to dissolve.

We incorporate the mindfulness yoga shares with us however music is a lot less om shanti to amp up the power and joy we can access in Pilates. Something magic happens when a whole room are burning their bootys to loud beats.
